Coming up on comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko

This image was acquired August a at 02:48 UTC by the OSIRIS camera on Rosetta from a distance of approximately 1000 km. It has been enlarged by an unknown amount from the original resolution. A prominent dark spot visible on the original image is an artifact on the CCD and has been painted out of this version of the image.
